Primrosia

I’m using my Primrosia watercolour journal as a memories journal. I divide each page into four, and paint a little watercolour picture with some text written with a Pigma Micron pen. I usually have a theme for each page’s memories. 

This is a specialist watercolour journal with 160gsm cold pressed paper. The company told me that the paper has some cotton content, but didn’t say how much. It is quite nice to paint on and doesn’t crinkle much. The best thing is the watercolour doesn’t ghost or bleed through, which it often does in normal paper journals, especially when using wet on wet techniques. It doesn’t pill and colours look good on the ivory paper.

While the paper is textured, it’s still easy to write on, so would suit use for someone wanting to use it as a bullet journal with watercolour pictures. This journal has all the usual extras on a journal, including a pen loop, pocket and two ribbons.

I’m really happy with it so far. The only negative is the misalignment between rows of dots on each page, which is consistently more than 1mm different and sometimes over 2mm. The dots aren’t dark, so if I weren’t drawing a line through the middle of each page, you might not even notice.
