This journal has paper that can handle anything! Even alcohol-based Sharpie markers. See the pen test in my review for more details and the results for a huge range of pens and watercolour paint.
This journal is from a small Australian company started by a girl that has had a happy success with her company and is very enthusiastic about her spiritual/mystical theme products. She ships internationally. It’s worth checking out the reading journals that have lots of useful templates for recording and reviewing the books you read.
There are no extras with this journal; no pocket, no indexes, no elastic. Mine doesn’t have bookmark ribbons, but the latest releases have one. The cover designs in celestial and mystic themes are to die for. The journal feels well-made, and has ivory paper that has a bit of tooth but still works with fountain pens without feathering. The main downside (in my opinion) is the dot grid isn’t quite 5mm, making marking with a ruler a bit frustrating.
My in-depth review video looks at the company and their products; the construction, features and markings of the journal; the company’s approach to environmental and social responsibility; and includes a pen test of a full range of pens and watercolour paints. See my pen test page for an explanation of each test.
