The Stálogy notebook has been on my list to review for a while. I’ve finally purchased a 1/2 year journal, with 192 pages and 52 gsm paper and while there’s a lot to like about this high-quality journal, I was disappointed with the paper’s performance with fountain pens and I do find the dots too light in colour. The paper had surprising results with watercolours, and as you’ll see in my review video, I now have a clear idea of which pens and decorative media I can use with this journal.
The Stálogy dot grid version includes an index and no other markings. If you prefer more, the grid version includes dates and days and numbered rows, noting that the grid version is a 4mm grid, whereas the dot grid version has a 5mm grid.
My in-depth review video looks at the construction and features of the journal, the quality of the paper, interesting information about the company, and includes a pen test of a full range of pens and watercolour paints. See my pen test page for an explanation of each test.
