Emma Kate Co. journals may be sold in Australia, but they’re available worldwide. This is a premium journal (sadly the most expensive per page of my collection), but if you want quality, you will get it with this notebook. The 120gsm paper is very versatile, responding well to all types of media, with only minimal ghosting for some types of pens. The ivory pages are a different size to normal – almost square, so I’m curious to see how this works with layouts. I enjoyed the wider page of the Nuuna journal, so I imagine I’ll like this.
My in-depth review video looks at the construction of the journal, the quality of the paper, the environmental sustainability of the journal, interesting information about the company, and includes a pen test of a full range of pens and watercolour paints. See my pen test page for an explanation of each test.
