The Leuchtturm1917 Bullet Journal has 120gsm paper and is marked with everything you need for your bullet journaling, including index, future log, page dividers etc.
This journal surprised me. I’ve tried a few 120gsm journals and the Leuchtturm1917 version is up there with the best, especially for ghosting results. There is the very slightest of shadows if you’re looking hard, but once you work on each page, you wouldn’t see anything at all, and that includes an ultra-fine Sharpie (alcohol-based pen).
There is a minimal level of feathering and it doesn’t feel perfectly smooth to write on – you get feedback through your pen. The paper does get minimal ghosting/bleed when you use heavy watercolours, or very wet inks, including juicy inks in broad nibs on your fountain pens. There’s a bit of page crinkle with watercolour use. If you avoid watery wet mediums, the paper is excellent, although because of the finish on the paper the colours end up looking a bit flat because they don’t soak into the paper properly.
The in-depth review video looks at the construction of the journal, the quality of the paper, interesting information about the company, and includes a pen test of a full range of pens and watercolour paints. See my pen test page for an explanation of each test.
